where to begin... the two cats are not happy having to share their space. especially gray, whom i've had for almost a year. so we keep them separated when we're not at home and usually when we're asleep. but they seem to be yelling at each other a little less when they are in each other's presence. which leads me to think that they'll at least be able to stand one another in a few weeks. other than that, seret seems to be suffering from a bad tummy =(. the vet was over today to give him his first shot and some anti-worm stuff. we're hoping that it might be worms, but he also gave me the name of some special food for upset stomachs, that i'm going to see about getting after work. in the mean time, he's pooped and peed outside of the box far too many times (even though he knows how to use it... i've seen him and it's SO cute! =). so i really hope his tummy gets settled soon.
other than that, our AC has decided it wants to leak into our apartment and onto the new carpets we put in the bedroom. so last night we had to sleep in the heat. blech. i hope that tonight our landlords' son (who lives in the building and seems to be in charge of maintenance) will stop by and be able to figure out what's wrong. it's an old unit that i think has been there for a long time. so i'm hoping he's familiar enough with it to be able to just pop whatever needs to be fixed into place. or something like that.
oh. and we had our nine month anniversary yesterday! =) yes, we're still counting the months. it's legit until we hit the one-year mark, no? =P

Saturday, July 12th
new.red.loud.yay!
music: nothing mood: okie
it's been a while since my last update. not much has happened. except the fact that we finally got the tiny redhead that we had promised to take from a coworker a while ago. he's really small and has big ears. like a bat! =D. golan named him seret, which literally translates into "movie." but it also means a few other things, if you know how to use it. so far he's spent his time hiding and meowing really loud when he's not in hiding. he ate a little, but seems to be happier hiding.
gray is obviously not too happy. he sniffed around him for a while and then hissed, before we moved him into the other room. we have them separated for the time being. with two completely separate sets of food/water dishes and two litter boxes. i can't wait for the redhead to start feeling more comfortable in his new surroundings, so that we can let the two try and start becoming friends. heh.
other than that, we have another closet, some carpeting for our bedroom and another small computer desk up there, too.
oh, and last thursday we attended the wedding of a couple of really good friends of ours. most of the scene was there, so i don't know how the various clubs stayed open. it was a lot of fun... we partied till about 3:30am, when some of us continued to one of the clubs i just mentioned. now my body hurts =P
yesterday, we both had a day off and went to one of the water parks close to where we live. since it's the beginning of summer, the place was packed with children. this made things a little more difficult than we would have liked. even so, we managed to find a corner on one of the far sides of the park, where we just hung out and talked. we olny managed two slides. which is a shame. but we had fun anyway =)
after that, i wasn't able to to much else, even though we did come back relatively early. see, being in the sun - even if it's not direct sun (we were in the shade) - always knocks me right out. i felt as though i had been sunburnt and as though i had a fever. neither of which were correct. even so, i crashed really early. hence being up at an ungodly hour today.
today we really just plan on getting some important errands done and perhaps finding me a modest birthday gift. later, i think we're going to go out. we shall see.
regardless, happy birthday to me! (and a very merry un-birthday to you =P)

Sunday, June 29th
another week
music: nothing mood: need to breathe. at some point.
the weekend was nice. lazy, as usual. but nice.
yesterday we were at a bbq in "hayarkon park," which was rather relaxing. if you take away the heat factor.
today i am stressed. i feel like i need another vacation. or a drastic change.
so today, for the first time in my life*, i gave blood. our HR director had arranged for MADA to set up in our office for a few hours and do blood donations. they set up in the conference room: two tables for people to lie down on, a few chairs and a little table with sweets. you know, for after.
the process went fine, even though i hate having needles put in me (don't you start with the whole "but you have tattoos, this should be a piece of cake" thing, cuz it's really not the same at all), and i didn't feel the least bit woozy after, either. the area where the needle was put in, looked fine, too. about an hour later, i unrolled my sleeve and forgot about it.
until an hour after that. when it started hurting a little... i pulled my sleeve up, only to see that the place had become bruised and swollen. feh. so i waltzed back into where they were still taking (giving? - i guess it depends on who we're talking about ;) blood and asked what they thought. obviously it's not the end of the world, but i don't usually bruise after having blood drawn, and this was a little annoying.
later, i was seen around the office wandering, holding a bottle of ice on my arm to make the swelling go down.
it still hurts =(

*was never able to give blood cuz i'm constantly getting tattooed. this was the first time since i started that there has been a break between sessions longer than a year.
life is good. our apartment is cute. not done yet. but looking nice =)
saturday i finally got my ass to the beach (mind you, it's less than a block from our apartment) for a little while. mariana and i went late in the day so the sun was already disappearing but the water was beautiful.
next month golan doesn't work nights. eeexcellent! next month is my 33rd birthday. next month a couple of friends are getting married (to each other =P).
my parents are coming to see our new place for the first time this week. golan's mom is supposed to come something this week, too... no idea when, though.
so originally, i wanted to go away for a weekend. to a hotel. and i didn't really care where. i even made reservations for us at some fancy hotel in jerusalem. we figured it was close enough to get golan back to tel-aviv in time for work on saturday and it would include all of the perks that i was looking for.
but then i decided that perhaps i would be better off being a little more responsible with my money. considering we just spent a lot on our new place and are hardly even close to being finished with what we want to do. so i canceled.
today i figured out what we are going to be doing... since i will be taking thrusday the 3rd off, we will be going to this water park! =D
