looking through all these photos, i remember how skinny i once was and how much i loved my black hair.

i recently started working on a redesign. however, this time i think that insead of rushing to get everything switched over asap, i'm going to make sure everything is properly updated. including getting rid of things that are no longer of interest to me, as well as putting up more recent photos of me and what have you.

back to my roots

today i bought something i have not had the desire to own in well over a decade... a blue denim skirt! LOL. it took a while for me to get back into wearing skirts to begin with (growing up, i was forced to wear skirts only - no pants), but this took an extra 6-7 years. got out of my exam early today and walked down to the levi's store, where i saw the cutest long denim skirt. it was decently priced, so i couldn't help myself. i had originally tried on a size that fit me... but when i asked one of the people who worked in the fitting rooms to get me one that was two sizes larger - she literally looked at me with wonder. it's difficult to explain to someone that i actually like pants and skirts that hang off of my waist. so i didn't =P
in other news, i got a 90 on the exam i took today and a 98 on the one i took yesterday. i love professors who are quick to come back with the test scores =)

so as some of you might know, i've been walking to work every morning - trying to give my lazy body some extra stamina. it's not a whole lot of effort, but it's definitely something more than i've done in a really long time... i just wanted to point out how amused i am at the horrified looks i get from people as i walk down park or madison avenue. not only am i dressed in black (so i must be a devil worshiper), but i am covered in tattoos. i catch people glancing at me out of the side of their eyes, hoping i won't notice. LOL. sometimes i wonder if i put up with the pain of the needle just for shock value =P

walking to work is always a good thing to do in the morning. all days need to be like this so i can do it all the time. granted, i'm a little warm when i walk into the office, and the i am required to cover up (can't have all the ink showing) but the AC soon takes care of that and i feel like a got a little bit of a workout. since i have no time to go to the gym at all, the whole walking thing is quite necessary. of course sex would do just as well, but that's not as readily available as i'd like it to be =P
in other news, i can't wait for this crazy summer session to be over. i need to be able to breathe. this whole 9-5 followed by 5:30-9:30 leaves me no time for anything. instead of going to see friends etc, i have to prepare my homework for the next day or study for an exam. argh!

i hadn't had this much fun in a loooong time! yesterday was originally planned for great adventure. adina and i had been planning it for a couple of months now... the whole taking the day off of work and what have you. there was also supposed to be a larger group of people coming with us, which gradually fell apart. so at the last minute, we decided to change our plans to go to hurricane harbor instead, since adina does not like roller coasters (=P you knew i had to). it took her forever to get to me since the traffic sucked, and then it took us forever to get out of the city for the same reason. heh. once we were in jersey, the drive was easy enough even though mapquest give the worst directions ever. we were there in no time =) at the entrance to the parking lot, there's this girl standing there that asks us if we're there for the 'home schooling event'. so we look at her and are like wtf? the website didn't say anywhere that it was closed for an event and even allowed us to purchase tickets for that day. reluctantly, this girl actually let us in =D the park was practically empty and we were running around like a couple of kids! we managed to go down all of the slides several times, and even fall asleep by the pool for an hour or two. by five o'clock we were done. lol. took us forever to get back into the city too (d'oh).
i was going to go out last night. but i don't think i had realized just how wiped out i really was. so instead i decided that going to sleep was a better idea.
good fucking times indeed =)

i'm at work and my boss has yet to show his face. what this means is that everything i am aware of and have control over has been taken care of and no one is here to think up projects for me to do. granted, i do have some printing to do (which i am doing as i type this) and other little tidbits, which are keeping me slightly busy - but that's about it. i suppose it's nice to be able to relax a bit at work, but i am so used to running around like a maniac that this is slightly on the odd side. as such, i have been to every site i frequent, several times (plus some other amusing ones that people send me links to) and i am now officially bored. so bored, i can just see myself inching towards ebay. this is bad. i have no money for this. and even if i did, i should be saving it for the vacation i plan on taking in a couple of months - regardless of where i end up going. i am also actually counting the hours/minutes until it's time for me to get the fuck outta here. there is lots i want/have to do this weekend, and it starts tonight at 9pm over at da bar. i will most likely also be stopping by sundown to see father jeff. i haven't been to that place in well over a year, and i don't think i've seen jeff in just about that long, either. it will be nice to be able to do some dancing on a friday night along with my usual getting drunk on a bar stool all night thingie. lol. tomorrow is a photo shoot (yes, i know it's been forever since i've even agreed to think about one of those) with one of my favorite photographers for a show he has coming up soon (yay =) and then on sunday i have an appointment for some ink. this will be the beginning of my geekiest project so far - star wars related, of course. also, somewhere in the midst of my excursions, i must find the time to do my homework. haha.
i can't wait to see how this weekend turns out =D

soo... considering i ALWAYS end up going on 'vacation' to israel, i decided that it was time to go somewhere else. ultimately, i would like to go to germany, to m'era luna. however, the fucking flights are so incredibly expensive now, that i am afraid to see what they will be like in a month or so, if and when i get my shit together. so i think that this year i will settle for some tropical island... somewhere alone for two weeks. i need a break. i need to be away from everything. the prices are better too =)

my classes ended up being short little introductory ones. i was done an hour before i thought i would be, and i headed right down to the only bar i seem to like, to meet up with crystal. wednesday night is not a terribly busy night over there... still, i ran into people i know and like, and met some fucking hysterical people. our plans changed, and we did not end up going anywhere for bubble tea. that will be accomplished at some point in the future. instead, we sat there with one of marke's friends, making awful jewish and scottish jokes, all while drinking way too much for a week night (big surprise there ;) thankfully, vodka is a form of alcohol i can handle (well, at least better than tequila) and although i was drunk, i managed to make it all the way home via subway and train and to get to sleep without scattering everything i own all over the apartment. haha.
i drink way too much. i will be there tonight again =D

since i seem to have lost some of my stuff on monday, i had to wake up ass early to go to the dmv for ID replacement purposes. instead of going to the dmv office on the corner of 34th and 6th, as i usually do - i actually went to the express office a little further down the block. i was pleasantly surprised at how short the line was when i got there only fifteen minutes before the doors opened. i was in and out of there by 8:25. so i ended up here slightly on the early side. i was so sure i'd have trouble getting that replacement since i used to do this shit online, but it is not an option any longer... so i figured they'd be strict about presenting the proper ID and what have you. i wasn't even asked for a utility bill or my social security card. nothing. and to think i was worried... now, i have to find a method how not to lose my crap while drunk.
