ooowwwwwwwwwww

music: nothing
mood: exhausted and ooowwwwwwwwwww

ended up getting our keys a few days early cuz the landlord felt like giving them to us. i went there after work to make sure the keys were good, and then i proceeded to go to home center to see if i could find anything we would need, as well as some cleaning supplies.

spent a good three hours in the apartment. cleaned as much as i could, put up a new medicine cabinet in the bathroom, figured out what some of the measurements are for things we want to bring over and other things we're going to have to get, spray-painted a dresser that seems to have been left in the apartment black, figured out what all of the switches/outlets belong to (you might think this is weird, but if you saw how many there were - with missing bulbs etc - you'd have a hard time too ;)...

still need to finish cleaning. we're probably going to get the place professionally painted (neither one of us is really good at doing that and we want it to be nice). we need a fridge. we need a mattress. we need to get some closets maid. we need to get some window-screens made (haven't figure out where, yet). we need to put bars on the balcony door (we're on the ground floor and would like to keep it open as often as possible). we need an AC in the living room/studio part of the apartment.

still waiting on the lease for the new place and for my current place to be officially handed over to tali. i'd like to be living in the new place already and not running back and forth for things i need. heh.

my hands hurt. my index fingers are dead from holding the spray-can nozzle. and now is shower time.

good night.

more move-realted stuff

music: nothing
mood: nuu! heh

so umm... this whole contract signing process is turning out to be a little longer than i'm used to.

we saw a total of four apartments in two days, and decided what we would like to take. on the spot - the realtor took us to his office to sign a temporary document saying that we will take the apartment. next, they said, we would be meeting the owners and their lawyer, and sign the lease. simple enough and pretty much what i expected. but no. yesterday, while we did meet with the apartment owners and put together a hand-written document that states all of the main points of our lease, we didn't not sign an actual lease. just another agreement saying that we intend on taking the apartment. i am currently waiting on the real-estate office to call me with information on when we need to go sign the lease. today i got a call from them, asking me if i provided the owners with the information i didn't have yesterday. and since i already did that yesterday, i was a little surprised that they did not know.

so. we're still waiting to see when we're going to sign the lease. it has to be by wednesday at the very latest, cuz after that - we have to have our guarantors come in and sign something else. and all of this has to be done by thrusday, since no one works on friday and we're supposed to get our keys on sunday.

there's that, and there is what i'm doing with our current apartment. today, tali and i went to the management office for them to take down her details and have me sign a document saying that i am handing my apartment over to her.

next, we have to actually be out of the apartment - before they give me back my checks and deposit.

i will be very happy by next weekend. once we're done with all of this.

yes.

new stuff

music: nothing
mood: so tired

so golan and i are moving.

we need a larger place cuz the one we currently live in is not much larger than a shoe box. and since there are the two of us, the cat and golan wants to adopt about another billion pets, we decided that it was time for a larger space. it's been seven months since he moved in, and i think we've had enough of not being able to be in separate rooms etc.

it didn't take us very long, and we found a really interesting place. it's much bigger than the one we have, but still in the same style. and it's on the same block. heh. this will make our move a very easy.

we already have 9187259087435 ideas regarding how we would like to arrange the space. but obviously, getting into too much detail before actually having access to it, is slightly useless.

we should be signing our lease on sunday. a friend, who will be taking our current place, should be meeting with our current landlords to see what she needs to do to get moving on that. we get the keys on june first, but have our old place until the tenth. this will allow us time to fix up the new place and put some necessary missing things in, before we move.

seriously, it's a good thing it's on the same block. i already see myself running back and forth for drill-bits and other things i should have remembered to bring along in the first place.

i can't wait for the whole paperwork bit to be over with, and for us to have the keys already. i don't enjoy moving, but it's always exciting to have a new place to live in. especially since now it's not 'my' place anymore. not in any way. it is now 'our' place. for all intents and purposes.

yay!

Friday, May 16th
photos, as promised

music: nothing
mood: sleepy

today i was a total lazyass. i woke up at around noon, still tired. had something to eat and fell asleep on the couch, while watching tv. when i woke up, i managed to drag myself upstairs with intent to read, but fell asleep again. then i tried figuring out if there was anything to do tonight, but can't seem to find anything interesting. so i think golan and i are just going to go out for a walk =)

anyway, please check out my amsterdam photos and my london photos.

enjoy.

home again, home again

music: nothing
mood: not quite caught up on my sleep

no real patience to update. so...

london was great! have some photos that i will upload to flickr. you know, when i get unlazy about it (there are more from amsterdam, too). i really would have loved to be there for the first time with golan. but no worries... i didn't quite manage to experience it all in two days, so there's plenty left for us =D

been home since tuesday morning. i cannot even begin to tell you how wonderful it felt to fall into his arms. i missed him so much. i thought i knew just how much till i actually saw him. and then my heart exploded and my body melted.

trying to catch up on work. getting there.

last night we went to see ironman. it was cute. fun. but as an afterthought (don't you love those?), we decided that it would have been better watched at home on the dvd. next is the new indiana jones! i'm so excited about this. i haven't been this excited since the second star wars trilogy and/or corpse bride! heh. imma dork.

one more day

music: nothing
mood: bored and I MISS GOLAN

ugh. i truely dislike being away from golan for this long. i mean, a day or two every once in a while is alright. but an entire week is just too hard. i feel like a part of me is literally missing. there's a hole somewhere inside of me. blah.

not to mention that all of our work has pretty much already been done here and today will only require us to complete a few small details. then we do nothing until tomorrow morning, when we finally fly to london.

at least london is something i can get excited about. i've never been there and i will be doing fun stuff. but still, i'd much rather be going there for the first time with golan. and the fact that i'm going to do something fun, doesn't make being away from him any easier.

*sigh*

an amazing photo of golan, taken by noa:

Thursday, May 8th
greetings from gibraltar

music: hazel and kim, talking
mood: alright

so...

we headed out on tuesday morning. zehavit and i were planning on stopping in barcelona (on our way to gibraltar) with enough time to do some shopping. the flight was ok, even though i'm never able to sleep - no matter how tired i am. once we arrived i let zehavit do the leading, since she'd already been there and she knew where she wanted to shop. i ended up buying a couple of dresses and a couple of pairs of pants. fun. everything was timed perfectly for us to get back to our continuing flight on time. except that when we went to catch the train to the airport - the person we asked if the train was going where we needed, said it was. when in fact, it was not. so we were stuck on a train that was not to stop for about 45 minutes, going in the wrong direction. once we finally got off, we took a cab and asked the driver to go as fast as he possibly could. we weren't sure we'd make it. but we did.

i've been in gibraltar since tuesday night. the weather is warmish and overcast. pretty much the way i like it. yesterday we had a full day of training. we ended it with a bunch of israelis heading into spain for food and drinks to celebrate israel's 60th anniversary =) was fun. today, we're only supposed to start at 1pm. so i took my time getting up, walked up main street to see if there was anything worth buying and finally, sat down to have some breakfast. now i'm waiting in the office for everyone to get together and walk over to the training room (down the road, in another building). later, we are all being taken out for good and drinks, too. tomorrow is the last day of training and zehavit and i have plans to go out with one of the HR people we both really like. then we fly out on satuday morning, to london.

london will be the fun part. i've never been there =D

i miss my golan! <3

Sunday, May 4th
hi

music: nothing
mood: alright

i guess i should post something to prove that i'm still alive? heh.

i've really just been too lazy to bother. you know how that goes... every blogger goes through such phases. then they remember that they actually have a blog and go on blabbing. yea, like that.

anyway, golan and i were in amsterdam for eight days last week. we were there for queensday. this was his first time and it was a lot of fun to watch him get excited over various things. we did a lot of walking around, some shopping, hanging out with friends (two of his best friends joined us two days after we got there), went to a few museums and did a bunch of things that i would only be describing if i actually lived in amsterdam =P

we've been back since yesterday morning. today was my first day back at work after a week's vacation and i have to leave again on tuesday for gibraltar. so it was a little hectic. to say the least.

on a completely different note, i would like to express complete amusement at a specific person who keeps on shutting me out of her life whenever it appears that i do not measure up to what she considers to be a friend. and by shut out, i mean block me on messenger, remove me from facebook, etc etc. then she turns around when she's bored and asks me what's up and tries to find excuses for her nonsense. she's done this either twice or three times already, and frankly, it bores me. i haven't been in the third grade in well over two decades, and interpersonal drama is the least interesting thing i could possibly think of occupying myself with.

yes, i know you're reading this. please lose my number and you may officially no longer consider me your friend. thanks and have a nice and successful life.

=D
