now, more than EVER, i hate this weather... i have this extreme urge to do some crazy activity; like go hiking. i know i've said this before, but those of you who know me, know i'm not good with the whole patience thing. having to wait for this annoying weather to over is not an easy thing for me to do. i wanna go hiking... get dirty and tired (and not from that activity that i usually prefer, either). someone kill winter, please?

one thing that annoys me about snow in this city (aside from the usual snow annoyances) is when it piles high enough for people to have to carve out little paths in it at the edge of sidewalks. then, we all seem to stand on line to get from the sidewalk to the street. also, i find it entirely retarded that humans can never find intelligent things to talk about... not once, but three times this morning on my way to the subway, did i actually hear someone talking about how lovely the snow is before people start walking through and dogs start peeing in it. human capacity for stating the obvious never ceases to amaze me.

my time off

last night i spent some time hanging out with laura and aaron (<3). good times were had while drinking a little and eating waayyy too much junk food. silliness was watched on television and then we all headed home.
today, in extreme efforts not to be lazy again, i dragged my ass out of the house for some errands and to see james. i got back not too long ago and am now getting ready to head out to meet with a photographer. i hate cold weather. lol.
tomorrow i shall be making my way to the airport via subway (yes, that's right) for my flight to seattle. although i will be sad to miss the friday night madness at korova, this weekend should be mad fun. i have a shoot planned with hypnox and other such insanity. never been to seattle. i am excited!

it seems as though i now have a new way of arranging my sleeping hours. i neglect the whole sleeping thing for two or three days and then i fall into a coma for eleven or twelve hours. lol. last night was intended for hanging out with friends, but besides the fact that it didn't actually seem to work out, i just couldn't keep my eyes open and was out at about 9:30. not only that but i fell asleep in my clothes. and i thought that was saved for times when i get home drunk from a night out. sheesh :P

holy crap, am i tired!! LOL. it's all good though, since the reason for it are two very lovely people whom i absolutely adore! nemimi and unholysun came over last night for drinks and such... and as it started to get seriously late, the vote was in for them to crash with me. which is always fine :D today, although extremely tired, i am a happy dina because they make me smile. hehe. however, it's going to be funny later when i try and last through a photoshoot with one of my favorite photographers. actually, i'd like to see me last through the entire day before i even get there. i'll keep you all posted.
on a different note, i can't wait for next weekend. things are going to get a little bit on the insane side, and i am sooo looking forward to it. i've been anxiously waiting for this weekend to arrive for many evil reasons. it's going to rock. hard.

things have been pretty hectic lately... both at work and otherwise. thankfully, today my receptionist comes back from her vacation and i can go back to catching up with everything i have been neglecting. heh. also, with everyone getting sick and over-working themselves, i have been unsuccessful in getting together with two of the people i want to see the most. yesterday after work, i had to run downtown to get some stuff done and then run back uptown to quickly take care of more crap when our plans got canceled. hopefully that'll change, too. either tonight or tomorrow. i miiiiiiiiiss them :P so instead of being productive i sat around after my shower just talking to people and making plans, till i finally managed to drag my ass over to feed the cat at about midnight. once again, i didn't get enough sleep... and here i am doing the office thing as per usual. after work there will be more running around till i manage to get over to the studio for a little shoot.
no, it never slows down, really.

ok, so i went to the ATM earlier to deposit a small rebate check. i walk in and there was a security guy sitting there... i asked him if there were any envelopes available to do the deposit with. his reply was a little on the confusing side cuz he said 'you have to do the transaction first in order to get an envelope.' and i'm thinking umm... how the fuck am i going to do the transaction before i have the envelope?!?! anyway, there's a way around that, but someone should come up with something a little more intelligent. damn.
in other news, i've been trying to catch up with my sleep. i've been more or less dead since sunday. it doesn't really help that i have a zillion things to do, either. earlier, i had to wake up from my coma and run down about ten blocks to go feed alison's cat. he's adorable, but i was sooo dead. lol. other than that, brian is being sweet and touching up some more of the photos we have from our shoot even though he's not feeling too hot. may all the photographers i work with be that awesome! *crosses fingers*

contempt was a lot of fun last night. good people, good music... you know, the ideal combination for a good time. i got to see some of the people whom i've become quite close with as of late and some whom i have not seen in years (no, really). i also got to participate in some fun that had people staring... i'll leave it at that ;) thought i was sober for most of the night, but the hang over i was left with this morning indicated otherwise. hehe.
what a pleasant way to start a new year. thanks to all who contibuted :)
